Egyptian lentil production is set to fall by 9.9% by 2026, reaching around 555 metric tons. This would be a significant decrease, since the country has seen a 8% year-on-year decrease since 1966. In 2021, Egypt was the 36th largest lentil producer in the world, with 1,050 metric tons, overtaken by Tajikistan. India, Australia and the United States were the top three lentil producers, respectively.
