Bangladeshi lentil production is projected to reach 209,000 metric tons by 2026, growing at an annual rate of nearly 2%. This increase is on par with the 3.3% growth in Bangladeshi lentil production since 1966. In 2021, Bangladesh was the sixth largest producer of lentils, with 186,000 metric tons. Nepal placed ahead of Bangladesh, while India, Australia and the United States took the second, third and fourth spots, respectively.
