Peanut production in Libya is projected to decline in the coming years. According to the latest figures, it is estimated that the country will produce 9,900 metric tons of peanuts by 2026, a decrease of 3.6% annually since 2021. In 2021, Libya was ranked 64th in terms of peanut production, with 12,200 metric tons. Algeria was number one, followed by India, Nigeria and the United States. Since 1966, Libyan peanut production has decreased by an average of 4.5% each year.
