Romanian mushroom production is expected to reach almost 18,000 metric tons by 2026. Between 2021 and 2026, the production is estimated to grow at an average rate of 2.1% year on year. Since 1994, the supply has gone up at an average rate of 1.4% year on year. In 2021, Romania was ranked number 25 in the world, with 15,550 metric tons of mushroom output. Ukraine overtook them to become number 24. The top three countries in mushroom production were Japan, the US and Poland.
