Iran is set to become one of the world's largest mushroom producers by 2026. The country's mushroom production is expected to reach 124,560 metric tons by then, a 2.4% annual growth rate since 2021. Since 1995, Iranian supply has increased by 11.4% each year. In 2021, Iran ranked number nine, with Canada leading the way at 108,100 metric tons. Japan, the US and Poland came in second, third and fourth, respectively.
