Since the turn of the millennium, Japan's seafood supply has seen a modest annual growth rate of 0.4%. In the global ranking for 2023, Japan holds the ninth position, just behind Thailand, which also recorded seafood exports valued at roughly $1.63 billion. India, Canada, and Denmark took the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively, in the same ranking.
