Korean oyster exports saw a significant increase of 60% in 2018, with 1.06 million kilograms exported compared to 660,710 kilograms in 2017. This marks the highest output since 1993, although still 32.7% lower than the 1993 level. Meanwhile, Korean oyster imports plunged by 84.3% in 2018, with only 11.3 kilograms imported compared to 72.14 kilograms in 2017. This is the lowest level since 1993, and 86.3% lower than the 1993 level.
