Canada's paperboard imports are predicted to drop by almost one percent by 2026, from 2.3 million metric tons in 2021. This marks a decrease of four percent since 1966. Canada ranked 12th in 2021, falling behind India's 2.3 million metric tons. Germany, the United States and Italy placed second, third and fourth respectively. Exports of Canadian paperboard are forecast to decrease by nearly five percent over the same period, from 5.8 million metric tons in 2021. This is a decrease of 4.4 percent since 1966. Canada took seventh place in 2021, behind Indonesia's 5.8 million metric tons. The United States, Sweden and Finland followed in second, third and fourth places respectively.
