Guatemala's animal fat consumption is projected to drop slightly by 2026, according to a recent study. The country is currently the 86th in the world in terms of animal fat consumption, behind Cambodia. The United States, Germany and France take the top three spots respectively. In 2021, Guatemala's consumption of animal fat is estimated to be 14,000 metric tons, unchanged from 2017. By 2026, this is set to reach 13,590 metric tons, a decrease of 0.5% year-on-year on average.
