Demand for animal fat in Mauritania is set to drop by 5.5% each year between 2021 and 2026. In 2021, the country's consumption of animal fat was 3 thousand metric tons, ranking 121st globally. Sri Lanka, however, ranked ahead with the same amount of animal fat consumed. The United States, Germany and France were the top three countries, respectively. Since 2017, Mauritania's demand for animal fat has decreased by 9.1% annually.
