Since 2017, the country's demand for animal fat has risen by an average of 2.8% each year. In 2021, Greece ranked 58th in the world for animal fat consumption, with Azerbaijan overtaking it at 38 thousand metric tons. The US, Germany and France ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively in the same year.
