Hungarian animal fat consumption is forecast to reach around 109,000 metric tons by 2026. This is a slight decrease from the current level of 110,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, Hungary's demand for animal fat has increased at an average rate of 1.6% year-on-year. This puts Hungary in 30th place in the 2021 rankings of global animal fat consumption. Japan leads the way, with 110,000 metric tons, followed by the United States, Germany and France.
