Finnish demand for animal fat is on the rise. It is projected to reach 77 thousand metric tons by 2026. This represents an average growth rate of 1.4% a year since 2021, when it stood at 70 thousand metric tons. In comparison, since 2017, demand has grown by 2.5% a year. The country was number 38 in the global ranking in 2021, overtaken by Switzerland at 70 thousand metric tons. The United States, Germany and France were numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively in this ranking.
