Demand for animal fat in Nepal is expected to reach 27 thousand metric tons by 2026. This represents an annual growth rate of 1.5 percent since 2021, when it hit 25 thousand metric tons. Since 2017, Nepalese demand has grown by 1.4 percent each year. In 2021, Nepal was ranked 67th in terms of animal fat consumption. Uganda came in ahead of Nepal with 25 thousand metric tons. The United States, Germany, and France followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
