Animal fat consumption in Jordan is set to drop slightly in the next five years. Jordanian demand for animal fat was 15 thousand metric tons in 2021, making the country number 83 in the world rankings. This was down by 2.1% year on year since 2017. The Dominican Republic came ahead of Jordan in the rankings with 15 thousand metric tons, while the US, Germany and France came in second, third and fourth respectively. By 2026, Jordanian animal fat consumption is expected to reach 14.4 thousand metric tons, a drop of 0.7% year on year.
