Exports of electric generators from Uganda totalled $1.8 billion in 2021, a dramatic drop of 71% compared to 2020, when the figure stood at $6.2 billion. Since 2010, Ugandan exports have declined by 8% year-on-year. The country ranked 107th in 2021, with Samoa coming in ahead of Uganda at $1.8 billion. The United States, France and Japan took the top three spots in the ranking. Imports of electric generators to Uganda are expected to reach $112 billion by 2026, up from $104 billion in 2021, a 1.3% year-on-year growth rate. Since 1999, demand for electric generators in Uganda has risen by 7% year-on-year. The country ranked 119th in 2021, with Greenland coming in ahead of Uganda at $104 billion. Germany, Mexico and China took the top three spots in the ranking.
