In 2021, the country ranked 104th, with Bahrain overtaking it at 1,080 metric tons. Mexico, Indonesia and Spain ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. In 2018, Swiss pepper consumption totaled 2,000 metric tons, up slightly from 2017.
