In 2021, France ranked 55th, with 33,530 metric tonnes, behind Honduras. Mexico, Indonesia and Spain were the top three producers in the same year. Consumption of peppers in France rose to 3,000 metric tonnes in 2018, from 3,000 metric tonnes the year before.
