Since 2017, demand has remained stable. Meanwhile, production of peppers in the Netherlands is expected to increase slightly, at an average annual rate of 0.7%, to reach 395,570 metric tons by 2026. Since 1982, supply has grown by 0.7% annually. In 2021, the country ranked 11th in global production, with Tunisia in first place at 378,560 metric tons. Mexico, Indonesia and Spain were the next three biggest producers.
