Since 1980, Bahraini pepper production has grown 8.4% annually. In 2021, Bahrain was ranked 103rd in the world for pepper production, with South Africa topping the list at 1,090 metric tons. Mexico, Indonesia and Spain came in at second, third and fourth place, respectively.
