On a broader scale, India, Indonesia, and Brazil secured the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions, respectively, in oilseeds consumption rankings for 2023. Meanwhile, Kyrgyz oilseeds production is expected to decline significantly. By 2028, production is forecasted to drop to approximately 9,000 metric tons from around 14,000 metric tons in 2023. This represents a 7% annual decrease in the compound annual growth rate (CAGR). Since 1997, the country’s oilseeds supply has been decreasing by an average of 7.5% per year. In the 2023 rankings, Kyrgyzstan was positioned at 121st, with Ireland overtaking it with a production of roughly 14,000 metric tons. Globally, Brazil, Malaysia, and the United States held the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots in oilseeds production, respectively.
