Demand for oilseeds in Central Africa is expected to rise 1% every year to 41,000 metric tons by 2026. This follows a 3.8% rise since 2017, with the country now ranking 81st in the world. Romania is ahead of Central Africa with 38,000 metric tons. India, Indonesia and Brazil are the second, third and fourth largest oilseeds consumers respectively. Meanwhile, production of oilseeds in Central Africa is set to decline by 0.5% annually to 65,580 metric tons in 2026. This is a slight improvement of 0.4% since 1966, with Central Africa now ranking 91st in the world. Togo is ahead at 67,480 metric tons. Brazil, the United States and Malaysia are the second, third and fourth largest oilseeds producers respectively.
