Consumption of oilseeds in Iran is projected to grow to 134,000 metric tons by 2026, up 2.9% from 2021. Since 2017, demand has increased by an average of 3.8% each year, and the country was ranked 46th in 2021, behind Ivory Coast at 113,000 metric tons. India, Indonesia, and Brazil came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively. Meanwhile, Iran's oilseed production is expected to reach 276,350 metric tons by 2026, a 1.4% average annual growth rate since 1966. Iran was ranked 63rd in 2021, behind Uganda at 253,660 metric tons. Brazil, the United States, and Malaysia were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively.
