However, in 2023, the nation ranked 103rd globally in pulse production. Belgium outpaced Ecuador with a production of 19,530 metric tons, securing a higher position in the rankings. Leading the global pulse production were Myanmar, Canada, and China, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
