Despite this, the country secured the 23rd spot in global rankings for pulses production in 2023. In the same year, Pakistan surpassed Kazakhstan with an equal production figure of about 641,000 metric tons. The leading producers were Myanmar, Canada, and China, which occupied the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
