Despite the anticipated decline, Japan has seen a historical increase in pulses supply, growing at an average rate of 3.2% per year since 1966. In the 2023 global rankings, Japan was positioned at number 81, with Chile slightly ahead, also producing around 62,000 metric tons. Leading the list, Myanmar, Canada, and China secured the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
