This growth, averaging 1.3% annually, continues a trend observed since 1966, when the country's supply has been increasing at an average rate of 1.9% per year. In the global ranking of pulses production for 2023, East Timor was positioned at 118th place. The Republic of the Congo surpassed East Timor with a production of 11,810 metric tons. Leading the global ranking were Myanmar, Canada, and China, which held the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
