Czech Alcohol Consumption Projected to Surge by 2028 The consumption of alcoholic beverages in the Czech Republic is projected to reach approximately 238,000 metric tons by 2028, up from around 197,000 metric tons in 2023. This represents a year-on-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.1%. Since 2019, the demand for alcohol in the Czech Republic has seen an annual increase of 3.6%. As of 2023, the country ranks 13th globally in terms of alcohol consumption. Mexico leads with the same consumption volume of 197,000 metric tons, while India, Japan, and Russia hold the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the export front, the Czech alcoholic drink industry is set to reach an export value of roughly $935 million by 2028, up from $830 million in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 1.9%. Since 1998, the Czech Republic's supply of alcoholic drinks for export has increased by an average of 2.6% each year.
