Romania came ahead of Sri Lanka, with 2,000 metric tons consumed. India, Brazil, and Argentina were the top three countries in the rankings, respectively. Looking ahead, Sri Lanka's tea production is projected to reach 284,000 metric tons by 2026, a 0.7% decrease from 2021. Since 2017, Sri Lanka's tea production has dropped by 0.9% each year.
