Montenegro saw a decrease in road casualties in 2018, with 2,610 people killed in accidents, compared to 2,710 in 2017. The country was ranked 34th in the world for road safety, overtaken by Moldova with 2,610 casualties. Germany, Italy and Russia followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
