On the import side, Panama's truck imports plummeted to about $824,000 in 2016, a dramatic decline from roughly $2.2 million in 2015. This marks a sharp 63% year-over-year drop. Since the year 2000, Panamanian demand for imported trucks has consistently decreased by 62% annually.
