**Ivorian Truck Imports to Surge, Exports to Plummet by 2028** ABIDJAN – Ivorian truck imports are projected to reach approximately $219 million by 2028, up from around $191 million in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 2.2%. Since the turn of the millennium, the nation's demand for imported trucks has seen a steady increase of 2.9% per year. Conversely, the outlook for Ivorian truck exports is far less optimistic. Forecasts indicate a sharp decline, with exports expected to plummet to around $1.4 million by 2028, down from nearly $4.7 million in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 18.9%. Despite a strong growth rate of 7.5% per year since 2000, the country's export ranking has slipped. In 2023, Côte d'Ivoire ranked 61st in the world for truck exports, a position overtaken by Bosnia and Herzegovina with its export value of $4.7 million. The global leaders in this sector are the United States, Germany, and France, holding the second, third, and fourth spots respectively.
