Portuguese truck exports are projected to hit approximately $1.14 billion by 2028, up from around $1.02 billion in 2023. This marks an average annual growth of 1.9%. Since 1993, the country's truck supply has seen a modest annual increase of 0.7%. In the global rankings for 2023, Portugal stood at number 23, just behind Belarus, which also reported exports of about $1.02 billion. Leading the pack were the United States, Germany, and France, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. On the import side, Portugal's truck imports are expected to reach roughly $759 million by 2028, up from $705 million in 2023. This reflects an average annual growth rate of 1.2%. Unlike the export figures, Portuguese demand for truck imports has remained stagnant since 1993, showing no significant year-on-year growth.
