By 2026, Zambia is set to become one of the top exporters of lead, expecting to reach $18 million. This is an increase of 3.1% year on year since 2021, when the figure stood at $15 million. Since 2000, Zambian supply has grown by 11.5% year on year. In 2021, the country ranked 53rd in the world for lead exports, with Jordan coming out on top with $15 million. Australia, the UK and Canada came in second, third and fourth respectively. On the other hand, Zambian lead imports are projected to drop by 2.8% year on year to $2.7 million by 2026. Since 2000, demand has increased by 5.6%. In 2021, the country was placed 67th in the world for lead imports, with Kuwait being the top importer at $3.2 million. India, Germany and the UK followed, in second, third and fourth place respectively.
