New Zealand overtook Ecuador to rank number two in 2021, with the United States, the Czech Republic and Russia following closely behind. Ecuadorian soap exports surged 102.2% in 2018 to 47,270 kilograms, up from 23,380 kilograms in 2017. However, there has been an 18.6% year on year decrease in supply since 1996. Germany overtook Ecuador to rank second in 2018, with Saudi Arabia, Colombia and the United Arab Emirates completing the top five.
