Gambia's soap imports are expected to reach 1.6 million kilograms by 2026, up 2.7% annually on average. Since 2000, demand has grown by nearly 10% each year. In 2021, Gambia was the 101st biggest importer, ahead of Namibia, at 1.4 million kilograms. The United States, the Czech Republic and Russia placed second, third and fourth in the ranking, respectively. Gambia's soap exports declined from 7,500 kilograms in 2015 to 774 kilograms in 2016.
