French Polynesia saw a major increase in exported soap in 2015. The country exported 11,300 kilograms of soap, a 300% increase from the 2,810 kilograms exported in 2014. At the same time, the country imported 285,500 kilograms of soap, a 6% increase from the 269,100 kilograms imported in 2014. French Polynesia ranked fifth in the world for soap imports with 116.2 million kilograms. The United States, the Czech Republic and Russia were the top three countries for soap imports.
