Cypriot imports of anthracite skyrocketed 7,470% in 2018 compared to the previous year, when only 599 kilograms were imported. This made the country rank 90th in the world, with Swaziland coming in first with 45,360 kilograms. South Korea, Japan, and Russia followed closely in second, third, and fourth place, respectively. Since 1994, the demand for anthracite in Cyprus has fallen by 35%.
