Sales of diabetes medicine in Sweden are set to reach $362 million by 2026, up from $315 million in 2021, according to an annual growth rate of 2.6%. Since 2005, the country has seen a 9.9% year-on-year increase. Belgium topped the 2021 ranking with $315 million, followed by Canada, Spain and Italy. Meanwhile, import of insulin to Sweden is projected to reach $85 million by 2026, staying the same as in 2021. Since 1997, demand for the medication has decreased by 0.6% year-on-year. Exports of insulin from Sweden decreased by 88.9% in 2018 compared to 2017, coming in at $1.2 million. Since 1997, the country has seen a 59.3% increase in supply. Japan led the 2018 ranking with $130,760, followed by France, Italy and China.
