This drop is part of a longer-term trend, with exports decreasing by 84.2% annually since 1998. On the import side, the Czech Republic saw a significant increase in 2019. Imports surged to approximately $692,000, a 103.5% rise from the $340,000 registered in 2018. Despite this recent spike, the overall demand for imported prescription glasses has declined by 51.7% annually since 1998.
