This is the latest projection from a new report by the Syrian Ministry of Health. It shows that maternal mortality rate is set to decline in Syria over the next five years. The report found that the maternal mortality rate in Syria has decreased by 1.6% year on year since 2005. It also showed that the rate is projected to drop by 0.6% year on year from 2021 to 2026. This means that by 2026, the number of deaths caused by maternal-related issues is expected to be 124, down from 129 in 2021.
