By 2026, Zambia is expected to have nearly 8 million malaria cases, up from 6.3 million in 2021, according to a new report. The demand for malaria prevention and treatment has grown by 5.5% each year since 2019. Zambia currently ranks ninth in the world for malaria cases, with Malawi overtaking it in 2021. Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Mozambique rank second, third and fourth respectively.
