In 2014, Somalia saw an overall decrease in tuberculosis (TB) prevalence, with 13,130 cases compared to 13,310 in 2013. This marks a 1.4% decrease. The decline is encouraging, but Somalia continues to face a high prevalence of TB across the country. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that in 2017, Somalia had the third highest TB prevalence in the world.
