In 2014, there were 40,300 cases reported, compared to 48,130 cases in 2013, a decrease of nearly 17%. This reduction is an encouraging sign, as it indicates that the country is making progress in the fight against tuberculosis. The World Health Organization is hopeful that the progress made in Ukraine will be replicated in other countries.
