In 2018, the country imported $44.02 worth of prescription glasses, down 98.2% from 2017. Tanzanian demand for prescription glasses has plummeted since 2000. Last year, the country ranked 118th, behind Namibia ($44.02). India, Hungary and the Dominican Republic were the top three importers, respectively. Despite the overall decrease, Tanzanian supply of prescription glasses has risen 34.3% since 2010.
