Sweden is set to see a decline in child mortality, with 288 deaths expected by 2026. This marks a 1.2% average decline year on year since 1965. In 2021, Sweden was 136th in the global ranking, with Trinidad and Tobago coming in ahead at 309 deaths. India, Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo were numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively in the same ranking. Immunisation coverage among children aged 12-23 months is predicted to remain steady at 98% by 2026, without any change in average rate since 1985. Sweden was 36th in the 2021 ranking, with Belgium ahead at 98%. Greece, Mongolia and Latvia rounded out the top four.
