Tanzanian polyvinyl chloride exports are projected to drop by nearly 5% per year on average, from 51,090 kilograms in 2021 to 38,660 kilograms in 2026. Over the past 14 years, exports have decreased by 4.4% annually. Meanwhile, imports of polyvinyl chloride into Tanzania are expected to increase by an average of 2.4% each year, up from 16.4 million kilograms in 2021 to 19.2 million kilograms in 2026. Since 2000, demand has risen at an average rate of 4.6% per year. Tanzania was ranked 69th in the world for imports in 2021, with Lithuania surpassing them by importing 16.4 million kilograms. China, Italy and Germany were the next three in the ranking.
