Uganda's import of Polyvinyl Chloride is set to reach 17 million kilograms by 2026, an increase of 3% year on year. Since 1999, the country's demand for the product has been rising on an annual basis at a rate of 7.9%. In 2021, Uganda was the 76th biggest importer of the product, overtaken by Bahrain which imported 13.9 million kilograms. The top three importers of the product in 2021 were China, Italy and Germany. In 2018, Uganda exported 144,000 kilograms of Polyvinyl Chloride, a significant raise from the 49,000 kilograms in 2017 - a growth rate of 193.9%.
