Nicaraguan imports of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) dropped 9.7% year-on-year to 53,030 kilograms in 2021. This figure is a drastic decrease compared to 58,720 kilograms imported in 2020. Since 1998, Nicaraguan demand has fallen by an impressive 32.5%. Swaziland overtook Nicaragua in 2021, importing 53,030 kilograms of PVC. China, Italy and Germany secured the next three spots in this ranking, respectively.
