Demand for polyvinyl chloride in Algeria is on the rise. In 2021, the country imported 138.8 million kilograms of the material - a 2.5% increase on the previous year. This growth has been steady since 1997, with an average annual increase of 1.6%. Algeria came in at number 18 on the list of biggest importers in 2021, with South Korea overtaking it in first place at 138.8 million kilograms. China, Italy and Germany rounded out the top four.
